ED FRINGE 2024 REVIEW: IMPROV COMEDY WITH THE BOX OF FROGS

BOX OF FROGS
Studio 3, The Space on The Mile

Birmingham’s finest Improv group, Box of Frogs, are back in Edinburgh this year, and continuing to delight audiences who really do become part of the show with suggestions of minor things that irritate them, as well as Song title suggestions, and even locations for skits along the way. It’s unsurprising in this case then to see such an array of ages watching the show, and in some cases not even for the first time. The troupe themselves are made up of comedy geniuses at the height of their craft; an irritating song about shoppers using trolleys in the basket check out proved to be a real crowd pleaser, again all chosen by us as the audience. With a short running time of fifty minutes, some of the context for the chosen games did feel a little rushed and took time to fully understand the rules of the round, but this small nag does not take away too much from the absolute enjoyment on the younger faces in the audience, whose suggestions were taken, and for us older folk, who could sit back and watch on in delight.
